500 Hosted is not simply another telephone system but another way of working. For end users, the “look and feel” of their telephone system will not have changed. They still have a range of sophisticated desk handsets, headsets, DDI numbers, hunt groups, cordless, fax machines and the rich telephony feature sets they have come to expect.
Home Worker Support
The addition of any number of home workers is not dependant on services deployed elsewhere. 500 Hosted sees home workers as just another endpoint on the existing client numbering plan.
Sophisticated Terminals
System telephones govern access to, and consequently use of, the underlying features of the system. Sophisticated handsets, such as the Polycom Soundpoint 320, 550 and 650, provide a user-friendly interface to the facilities provided by 500 Hosted. All phones feature a second switch port for connection of the desktop PC.
Detailed information regarding features and functionality is available at Polycom Range, under the Phones section of our site.
500 does advocate that there is no lock-in and you can utilise any SIP based IP telephone.
